CHANGE YOUR MINDSET

Change is inevitable. Accepting it--and learning to anticipate it--is not, and understanding that is a major mental hurdle for entrepreneurs as their businesses, customers and market shift over time.

But you can actually train your brain to get better at handling change through some simple mental exercises, from imagining your company's demise to learning how to meditate. It's not always pleasant, but it is possible.

 

The first part of the Mentoring Program is to help change their mindset. We believe that once your mindset change, your life will change and you will begin to discover talents, power and gifts within you that you didn't know was there.

  • What do you want to achieve in this world?

  • What excites you?

  • What do you love to do most?

  • Where would you most like to do it?

  • Who would you most like to do it with?

  • What sort of impact on others do you hope to make doing what you do?

In the Mentoring Program, we help the student understand that we all have different gifts and talents and if we use them, they can truly make a difference in their life, their community and their country.

We invite them to create a plan after the 12 weeks program. It can be something like a community project - Business plan or a Talents that require a higher mentor and then we come in and fund this project. 

IMPACT YOUR COMMUNITY

In this module, students will learn to look at their communities in new ways. This module is designed to encourage youth to critically assess the way their communities function, look, and feel. It will help youth make a positive impact in their community, neighborhood, or school and thereby give them a sense of ownership and pride in the future of their community.

The module is designed to present issues that will impact the future quality of life in the student’s neighborhood, community, city, and/or state. The issues identified by the students will be focused within their own community, but will enhance their understanding of how local problems have implications for the nation and even the world. The process engages students in thinking critically as they identify issues and develop strategies to address those issues.

Synopsis: Youth investigate the world around them. They critically analyze their surroundings, starting from their bedroom, to the rest of their house, to the street, neighborhood, and larger community. This exercise will lead the students to the discovery of real problems in their environment that are in need of solutions. Students will begin to identify areas of their environment that they want to improve.

A Mentoring Center is a most for Haiti. A mentor can talk to these children about problems that come up and help set future career goals. Or a mentor might just spend time having fun together. Having a mentor can raise a child’s self-esteem and lead to a better performance and how they see themselves. By raising the way they view themselves they can believe that they can be successful in the future. It can also make this child less likely to be taken by bad guys, drink alcoholic beverages or use illegal drugs because they have found a purpose for their life.

Having a Mentoring Program among this people will help them discover their true power.
